Mars One Trailer

“A Brazilian family drama with starry eyes and a tender heart.” Array Releasing has unveiled the new US trailer for Mars One, an independent Brazilian family drama which first premiered at the 2022 Sundance Film Festival earlier this year. Marte Um, as it is originally called in Portuguese, is also Brazil's official Best International Film nomination for the upcoming Oscars. A lower-middle-class black family in Brazil undergoes a series of difficult and profound changes, reinventing themselves and their family. Tércia, the mother, reinterprets her world after an unexpected encounter that leaves her wondering if she is cursed. Her husband, Wellington, places all his hopes in the football career of their son, who reluctantly follows his father's ambitions as he secretly yearns to study astrophysics and colonize Mars. With Cicero Lucas, Carlos Francisco, Camilla Damião, Rejane Faria, Russo Apr and Robson Vieira. It's a solid movie, even if it's not really about Mars and has nothing to do with science fiction, it's more of a drama about the great struggle for self-expression.
