Terrifying Frankenstein Re-Imagining 'Birth/Rebirth' Official Trailer

Birth/Rebirth Trailer

"This experience is bigger than your daughter." IFC Films + Shudder has released an official trailer for an independent horror film titled Birth/Rebirth , also written in lowercase as birth/rebirth. This premiered at the 2023 Sundance Film Festival earlier this year in the Midnight section. It's also played at numerous other film festivals over the past few months, with an August release slated for theaters before it premieres on Shudder in the fall. A morgue technician succeeds in resuscitating the body of a little girl, but in order for her to continue breathing, she will have to harvest biological material from other pregnant women. When the girl's mother, a nurse, discovers her baby alive, they strike a deal that forces them both down a dark path of no return. This directorial debut from Laura Moss reimagines Mary Shelley's classic horror myth Frankenstein with such a contemporary understanding that it becomes something exciting, terrifying and singularly new. With Marin Ireland, Judy Reyes, A.J. Lister, & Breeda Laine. It looks extremely disturbing and scary.

When one tragic night, Lila suddenly falls ill and dies, and the two female worlds collide. Birth/Rebirth is directed by new filmmaker Laura Moss, making her feature debut after many other shorts before. The screenplay is written by Laura Moss and Brendan J. O'Brien.
