Never-Before-Seen Orchids Appear in the Southwest, But Don't Tell Anyone

Meelup Regional Park in southwestern Washington suffered a horrific bushfire earlier this year and some feared the precious and rare wildflowers would never return.

But according to local resident and park 'keeper' Bob Jarvis, the reserve is making an extraordinary comeback that has even seen new orchids appear.

Some locals fear that news of 'new orchids' never be made public for fear of orchid theft.
