Paris fashion week fall/winter 2023: highlights — in pictures

"Human anatomy, anatomy of clothes, anatomy of flowers...an emphasis on fit, proportion and silhouette," Artistic Director Sarah Burton explained in the show notes. The main message was strict tailoring - the shoulders were strong, the waists were narrow. The pants had built-in heels lengthening the leg. Despite the orchid motif, the vibe was tough, with biker leathers reworked into dresses. Menswear included tailored corsets over a white shirt and worn over a bare chest. Here, the rear sights were as remarkable as the front with cutouts and red embellished orchids.
