An airliner which took off from Dubai flew for 13 hours and landed at the same airport after having was forced to turn around in the air.
Flight EK448 took off Friday at 10:30 a.m. local time and was scheduled to land in Auckland, New Zealand, 16 hours later.
But the Emirates flight ended up landing in Dubai just after midnight on Saturday due to severe flooding at Auckland airport.
< p class=" mol-para-with-font">He had traveled about halfway through the 9,000 mile journey before being forced to turn back to his departure airport.

A state of emergency has been declared in Kiwi City after a torrential assault wreaked havoc on the transport hub.
The airport said on Twitter: "Auckland Airport has assessed the damage to our international terminal and unfortunately has have determined that no international flights can operate today.
