Peanut butter pasta dish among budget recipes at £1.25 per serving by Nigella Lawson

A Peanut Butter, Dried Thyme, and Garlic Pasta Dish is Nigella Lawson's answer to saving money in a 1-to-1 recipe series, £25 per serving she created through a partnership with online grocer Ocado.

The famous cooker was hired as the company's answer high-end delivery to food blogger Jack Monroe as part of his first retail sponsorship deal.

Lawson has created several recipes for the Ocado, including pasta peanut butter "dreamy creamers", apparently a Lawson family favourite, and feta, black bean and clementine couscous, all of which can be cooked for as little as £1.25 a serving. /p>

Deal with Ocado Retail, which is part-owned by Marks & Spencer, comes as UK households look for ways to save money er money on rapidly rising food bills. The cost of budget groceries in supermarkets soared 17% on average year-to-end September, according to data released by the Office for National Statistics on Tuesday, while the cost of vegetable oil jumped 65% and that of pasta 60%.

Lawson, who is probably best known for his indulgent recipes from emergency brownies to burnt Basque cheesecake, has recently caught the eye with cheaper shortcuts such as fish finger bhorta and hot pot spaghetti.< /p>
