At first glance, some might say they look like partially collapsed towers.
But in fact, these images show what two innovative new skyscrapers in China will look like once they are completed.
Called "Oasis Towers", the structures "will provide refuge for residents of a dense and rapidly developing part" of Nanjing, a city in Jiangsu province.
Functioning as both residential and commercial complexes, the two nature-inspired 150m (492ft) tall towers are designed (officially) to look like "cliffs" dotted with pockets of greenery.
A park-like "green landscape" open to the public extends into the space between the two towers L-shaped 40 storeys.
