President Biden hits the beach in Delaware with Jill before his trip to Europe

President Biden has a busy week ahead of him with a planned trip to Europe - but before he gets back to work...it looks like he wanted to kick things off, and some sand too .

JB was in Rehoboth Beach, DE on Saturday -- where he and FLOTUS, Jill Biden, have a summer home in the North Shores neighborhood -- and the two of them went down to shore to soak up some rays and enjoy the atmosphere...very sunny, indeed.

Now, eyewitnesses tell us that it was Jill who arrived on the beach first - accompanied by a group of Secret Service agents - and Joe eventually followed with his own herd.

As you can see, the Bidens had chairs and umbrellas set out...and Jill even put on sunscreen for protection. As for Joe, he was content with a baseball cap and keeping his shirt on. Shoes too, it seems... you can never be too careful for POTUS!

When they were finally seated next to each other...we were told that Joe was busy reading a bunch of papers, though it's unclear what was in them. No PDA between the first couple or anything - looks like they were just being in each other's company.

Anyway, as we said...Joe is due to take off on Sunday for a 5-day overseas trip, where he will land in England, Lithuania and Finland for some engagements .
