Ukrainian forces raise flag after recapturing Snake Island
Ukraine urges Britain to turn the screws on Vladimir Putin and force him to sit at the negotiating table by Christmas.
As Ukrainian forces push back Russian troops and retake 3,000 square kilometers of territory, President Volodymyr Zelensky has proposed a 90-day plan of action that will push Russian President Putin to his limits.
Mr. Zelensky wants the UK and other Western countries to:
Confiscate Russian assets instead of just freezing them. Declare Putin's United Russia party a terrorist organization - like Palestinian Hamas and Lebanese Hezbollah. Apply a no-fly zone over the Black Sea to ensure the safety of grain exports. Ban the issuance of all tourist visas to Russians. Ukraine is keen to push Vladimir Putin "into his entrenchments" (Picture:

Mr. Byrne said: "This is seen as a way to force many of Putin's enablers to start making choices about him.
"It may not bring him down, but it will force him into a corner with nowhere else to go but to beg for peace.
“Russia has used substantial resources for little profit. In the short term, this cannot produce a breakthrough on the battlefield.”
