January 10 - English Premier League clubs Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur or Liverpool are the latest clubs targeted by Qatar Sports Investments for possible acquisition, according to a Bloomberg News report that has been picked up by the footballing world.< /p>

Nasser Al-Khelaifi, chairman of QSI and also Paris St Germain boss, has reportedly held talks with Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy over a possible purchase of a stake in the club.

Tottenham immediately issued a rebuttal saying "there is no truth to the reports that a meeting took place regarding the sale of the club's shares".

Manchester United's majority US owners, the Glazer family, are reportedly considering options for a possible sale, while Liverpool chairman Tom Werner also said in November that owners Fenway Sports Group (FSG) were exploring the same thing.

Manchester City is already owned by Abu Dhabi United Group led by Sheikh Mansour while Newcastle was recently taken over by a consortium led by the Saudi Public Investment Fund (PIF).
