Labour will follow Joe Biden's lead in helping working mothers find jobs in high-tech sectors, Rachel Reeves promised last night.
The Shadow Chancellor will meet today with the US President's team in Washington DC.
She pledged to learn from the White House's drive to encourage more women to get well-paying jobs in science and technology.
The leader will also discuss how the Biden administration is working with unions and employers to ensure climate change efforts also lead to better jobs in former industrial hubs.
Contracts for a huge East Coast wind project contain commitments to good standards in pay, health and safety, and training.
Ms Reeves said she will also look at how to help women join growing industries.
