Red Band trailer for Wild Comedy 'House Party' directed by Calmatic

House Party Trailer

"Have you seen how out of control this party is!" Warner Bros has unveiled the official trailer for House Party, the 2022 update on the 90s comedy classic The Same Name. In fact, it's a 2023 update - as the new release date is January after the New Year. Director Reginald Hudlin's original film opened in March 1990 and starred Christopher Reid , Robin Harris, Martin Lawrence and Tisha Campbell. From New Line Cinema, your VIP ticket to the hottest event of the year: House Party, the remix of the fan-favorite 90s classic. Like all party movies before it, the premise is simple: a high school student decides to throw a house party while his parents are away. "After all, a night like this doesn't happen more than once." The full cast for this update includes: Tosin Cole, Jacob Latimore, Karen Obilom, D.C. Young Fly, and Scott Mescudi. It is produced by LeBron James and Maverick Carter. This looks hilarious!! I'm always up for an epic "this party's gotten too crazy" movie, especially with a stoner Koala. Have fun.

Aspiring club promoters and best friends Damon (Tosin Cole) and Kevin (Jacob Latimore) struggle to keep things together. Cash-strapped, out of luck and on the verge of losing the roofs over their heads - and freshly laid off from their low-rise jobs as cleaners - the couple need a huge windfall to make their problems go away. In a 'what the fuck?' move out, they decide to throw the party of the year at an exclusive mansion, the site of their last cleanup job, which is owned only by LeBron James. No authorization? No problem. What could go wrong? How about a time-traveling DJ, unreliable security, a runaway guest list, a borrowed Lamborghini, angry rival promoters, a stolen championship ring, of increasing property damage and an angry koala? But also an outrageous ride stacked with double-take cameos and timeless comeback leads, an R-rated comedy + two friends worth cheering on… you have to see to believe.

House Party is directed by artist/filmmaker Calmatic (aka Calmatic Will), who is making his directorial debut after numerous music videos and a few short films before. The screenplay is written by Stephen Glover and Jamal Olori. Produced by Maverick Carter and LeBron James. Warner Bros. will debut House Party in theaters nationwide from January 13, 2023 to early next year. Cool? So who's ready to party?
