Genero Urbano has a moment now. Whether it's the seemingly limitless success of Bad Bunny, Rosalía's recent wins at the Latin Grammys, or the slew of new ambassadors like La Gabi, Musas and others championing burgeoning music scenes in places like the Dominican Republic and Colombia, reggaeton and Latin trap are reaching more ears than ever. With his latest release, "Jetski Remix", Puerto Rican artist and Miami native Roa seeks to evolve the sound of the genre while bringing it back to one of the places where it was born.

Released last Friday, December 2, “Jetski Remix” sees Roa use his signature smooth lyrics and breathy vocals alongside up-and-coming Puerto Rican spitters Omar Courtz and Dei V, as well as trap superstar Bryant Myers. The single caps off a busy year for Roa, with the young artist having already released tracks "Bellalakeame", "Jetski" (original) and "Pa' Cuando". It's a work beat that reminds us of the days of The Noise and DJ Nelson, when reggaeton pioneers were releasing track after track to keep the party going and the masses moving.
