Rosetta Getty Pre-Fall 2023

Throughout her career, designer Rosetta Getty has associated herself with a variety of creative women to help tell the story of his collection. Before the fall, she returns to a new story in which she will revisit former collaborators, starting with Alicja Kwade.

Kwade was the first artist Getty collaborated with, on an exhibition space for her collection fall 2017, where the two creatives played with the idea of mirrors and the tactile quality of the sculptural works. Getty said that after seeing Kwades' rooftop installation at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York and the large-scale installation in Place Vendôme in Paris, she was inspired to reconnect with her once again. more.

"Alicja's new work takes familiar objects and natural materials and arranges them in ways that elevating the individual parts to a magical new whole," Getty said. "It's how I also approach design to evoke a kind of intangible phenomena and a sense of atmospheres beyond the clothes."

The idea of elevating the pieces appeared in reworked Getty classics like widened denim , updates on leather separates, cargo pants and her loose fit, easy seasonal additions to styles her client has come to covet.

Her T-shirt dress this season has a bit of sparkle with sequins through a painterly pattern colored. An easy summer party dress for sure, she paired it with a light blue zip up jacket. For summer workdays, she offered a mix of lighter options, like wide-leg black trousers with a double-breasted waistcoat or a brightly colored short-sleeved floral dress.

His core collection has also grown, an ever-expanding selection of staples and best -sellers of the brand. New styles include a zippered shift dress, zippered kaftan top, and flared skirt. Much like her mainline, these are silhouettes that bring more of the effortless vibe her customers love.
