Russian military leaders are red-faced after bragging about an 'unstoppable' hypersonic missile that crashed and injured eight people without even reaching Ukraine.

And eight people were injured after the crash of the hypersonic missile, capable of carrying nuclear weapons.

"Unflyable weather today for hypersonic missiles. This is where the 'Kinzhal' missile fell. It was likely flying from the Caspian Sea towards Ukraine," a statement from the Ukrainian army.

The "Kinzhal", meaning "dagger", is a Russian nuclear-capable hypersonic aeroballistic air-to-surface missile with a claimed range of over 2,000 miles and a speed of Mach 12. The Russian military uses in Ukraine and called it "unstoppable".
