State TV spokesman Vladimir Putin threatened the UK with a nuclear strike in a rant saying Britain was the “right size” for an attack.

In prime-time broadcasts laden with hyperbole and hysteria, Defense Secretary Ben Wallace has been criticized for helping Ukraine wage war on Russia.

The outbursts aimed at Wallace and Britain by the grim-faced propagandists evoked recognition that Russia's war is going badly and that Western weaponry is a significant boost for Ukraine.

The attacks follow Ukraine's downing of several Russian warplanes in an attack on Crimea - about which there is a virtual blackout on pro-Kremlin channels.

Olga Skabeyeva, Putin's 'Iron Doll' TV presenter, warned viewers on state-run Rossiya 1 TV: "The British Defense Secretary, the notorious Ben Wallace, who was not against nuclear weapons for Kyiv, said - and this is important - that all targets in Crimea for a Ukrainian strike could be considered legitimate.
