Ryan Reynolds Tells Blake Lively "You're Spectacular" in Birthday Tribute

No one cracks jokes like Ryan Reynolds, but this year he gave Blake Lively something extra special for his birthday: a (mostly) heartfelt birthday post on Instagram. Reynolds is known for sneaking a touch of his signature humor into everything he does, including celebrating his wife. However, this year he shared a series of candid photos of himself and Lively along with a decidedly romantic caption.

"Happy birthday, @blakelively. You look spectacular," Reynolds wrote. "I don't know if you were born or invented." Since this is a message from the 'Deadpool' star, he added, "Thank you also for urging me to leave the house once in a while❤️."

The photos Reynolds chose are mostly adorable shots of him and his wife spending time away from home. In one photo, they appear to be cuddling in a restaurant, and in another, they are all bundled up for a winter walk. In the manner of Reynolds, a photo is not like the others. Still, Reynolds' tribute stands in stark contrast to his birthday at Lively from 2021. Last year, he shared a TikTok of himself with Mariah Carey on his Instagram Stories with the caption, "My thing favorite that ever happened on August 25." August 25 is Lively's birthday.
