Sam Asghari breaks silence on divorce from Britney Spears

Sam Asghari has broken his silence on his split from Britney Spears, almost exactly 24 hours after filing divorce papers against the pop star.

Sam posted to Instagram on Thursday, writing, "After 6 years of love and commitment to each other, my wife and I have decided to end our journey together."

He continues, "We will keep the love and respect we have for each other and I always wish him the best. Shit happens. Asking for confidentiality seems ridiculous, so I'll just ask everyone world, including the media, to be kind and caring."

While her message is of love, we know the couple's last few weeks of relationship have been anything but smooth...Sam moved out after an explosive fight where he accused her of cheating. Sources close to the couple tell us they suspected she was having an affair with an employee at her home.
