Potential jurors in former FTX CEO Sam Bankman-Fried's upcoming criminal trial could be asked about their thoughts on cryptography, effective altruism and attention deficit disorder, as his lawyers want eliminate those they consider inappropriate.

In court filings Sept. 11, Bankman-Fried's attorneys and U.S. attorneys separately filed their lists of proposed questions they want to ask prospective jurors during the trial scheduled for Oct. 3.

Bankman-Fried wants to know whether potential jurors have invested in cryptocurrency and, if so, whether they have lost money or have negative opinions about the industry.

In another question, the FTX co-founder wants to know if a juror would blame the failure of a crypto company on its owners, and if so, why.

Bankman-Fried also wants to hear from potential jurors about “effective altruism” – a charitable philosophical movement that Bankman-Fried has built her reputation on.
