As the President leaves the stage, he seems to stop dead in his tracks before looking around, looking a little confused.

Biden then briefly addresses those in the audience before taking a few more steps.

Many described the scene as disturbing, with critics saying Biden looks "lost".

Texas Senator Ted Cruz said the incident was "terrifying" on Twitter, with Cruz's communications adviser Steve Guest tweeting, "Joe Biden is completely lost on stage. Scary and sad."

As Biden leaves the stage, a man then enters and takes the microphone to thank the president for his words.

The president then looks even more confused as he turns after a few steps to look at the speaker.

During his 60 Minutes interview on Sunday, Biden dismissed suggestions that he was too old or unfit to run again in 2024 – and said “look at me.”

Last month, Biden sparked more health fears when he appeared to be trying to shake hands with a senator seconds after the couple had already done so.

The 79-year-old was attending the CHIPS and Science Act of 2022 signing ceremony outside the White House.
