Seventeen: K-pop group poised to make history at UK festival

The greatest Glastonbury Pyramid Stage act this year, it's not Coldplay or Dua Lipa. In fact, you may not have even heard of them.
The group in question is Seventeen, a K-pop group that has 13 members and who sold more than 10 million albums last year.
The only act to sell more? Taylor Swift.
But despite the global success of K-pop, the UK has remained cool towards the genre.
Even though groups like BTS, Blackpink, Stray Kids and Aespa have broken up, their biggest hits tend to be made in collaboration with Western artists like Selena Gomez, Lady Gaga or Coldplay.
Seventeen don't do collaborations. Unlike most Korean pop groups, they also write and produce their own material. Today, they make history as the first K-pop group to grace the Glastonbury main stage.
The magnitude of this honor n 'is not lost on them. p>
“There is a great sense of responsibility,” says Choi Seungcheol, aka the leader of the group S Coups.
"We're going to keep coming back to that feeling and do our best to prepare, so we can blow everyone away... Not just our fans, but everyone other members of the public."
Seventeen perform at the festival during 'a year which saw him move further than ever from his rock roots.
Reflecting the audience's evolving listening habits, they will be joined on the Pyramid stage by Afrobeat icons Burna Boy and Ayra Starr, while as pop star Dua Lipa and R&B sensation SZ....
