Shadow and Bone Season 2 Photos Showcase Returning Cast

Netflix has released a new batch of Shadow and Bone Season 2 photos for the upcoming return of the popular fantasy series. It is currently scheduled to debut on March 16, 2023.

The photos feature a new look at some of the cast members, including Jessie Mei Li's Alina, Archie Renaux's Mal, Kit Young's Jesper, Daisy Head's Genya, and Georgia Reece's Queen Tatiana. It also offers a deeper insight into new cast member Jack Wolfe's portrayal of Wylan.

"In Season 2, Alina Starkov is on the run," the synopsis reads. "A beacon of hope to some and a suspected traitor to others, she is determined to bring down the Shadow Fold and save Ravka from ruin. But General Kirigan has returned to finish what he started. Based on the Grishaverse novels by Leigh Bardugo, Shadow and Bone is created and produced by Oscar-nominated Eric Heisserer, who also serves as writer and showrunner.

The second season will feature new cast members like Lewis Tan (Mortal Kombat) as Tolya Yul-Bataar, Anna Leong Brophy (Traces) as Tamar Kir-Bataar, and Patrick Gibson (The OA) as by Nikolai Lantsov.

The Shadow and Bone series is from 21 Laps Entertainment, with Bardugo, Shawn Levy of 21 Laps, Dan Levine, Dan Cohen and Josh Barry, Pouya Shahbazian and Lee Toland Krieger serving as executive producers.
