Silva 'really happy' with Fulham's summer business; looking forward to the Richarlison reunion

Marco Silva says he is "satisfied" with the work done by Fulham during the summer transfer window.

It was a solid transfer window for Silva's side, who were busy until the very last day.

The Cottagers brought in Carlos Vinicius, Dan James, Layvin Kurzawa and Willian on deadline day to bring their total revenue to 11 players.

“It was hard work for all of us,” Silva told a press conference.

"As I said over the last month, the market is really tough for all clubs in the world. It has even been tough for some bigger clubs, with big budgets.

"Of course, we have been planning and trying over the last two and a half months. We are really happy and satisfied with our performance, with the work, with the players we have signed.

"The other players come to add something and create enough numbers for the competition we play.

"We as a club are delighted. Firstly because of the players we kept from last season, they are the biggest and best platform to move forward, and we tried to add experience, quality, different backgrounds, with new players for our football club.

Fulham travel to Tottenham on Saturday, with Silva for a reunion with Brazilian winger Richarlison, whom he managed at Watford and Everton.

"I took him to Watford and I took him to Everton as well," Silva added. "He's a very good professional, a great talent.

"He is a player who has the ability to score goals, even from the wide areas where he has the ability to score.

"It will be good to see him again. Of course, I hope he doesn't have a good game, I hope it will be a happier day for us than for them and for him.

"I hope all the best for him when he plays against all the teams, but the exception is when he's against us."

Spurs are boosted by the news that Cristian Romero is set to make a comeback against Silva's men.

The Argentine defender has missed the club's last three games with an adductor problem, but is back in training and fit again.

Rodrigo Bentancur missed the midweek draw at West Ham due to concussion protocols but will return. Fellow midfielders Bryan Gil and Lucas Moura remain sidelined with minor muscle injuries.
