The new store entertained around 400 crypto-curious guests on opening day, and hopes to welcome even more as it expands. other stores are opening in the United States and the rest of the world.
NewSolana Spaces CEO Vibhu Norby said the new physical Solana stores would introduce up to 100,000 people per month to the Solana ecosystem, while also signaling plans to open a virtual storefront in the future close.
Thanks to a grant from the Solana Foundation, the first Solana Spaces store opened in New York's upscale Hudson Yards mall on July 28.
Speaking to the community during an impromptu AMA on Twitter on launch day, Norby explained that the store was meant to teach new users how to use Dapps, and noted that it would introduce thousands of people in the Solana blockchain.
"I don't think people realize this, but we're going to bring 50 to 100,000 people to Solana every month through these stores, and that's just this year."
Speaking to Cointelegraph in a post-AMA phone interview, Norby said the store had 400 visitors, also hinting that new US-based physical stores were in the works and "the store was designed for people new to blockchain."
