An airline employee has been suspended after hitting a female customer at an airport.

Shocking footage shows when a Spirit Airline employee hits a woman during an argument.

A viewer captures the harrowing incident which shows the airline employee and the customer arguing and shouting at each other.

The client can be seen facing the man as she touches his face.

Overheard by witnesses, Spirit Airline employee is caught saying, "You've lost your mind, never touch me in your life."

The woman tries to walk away when another person tries to end the altercation.

But as the couple continue to argue, the woman then slaps the airline employee on the head.

The man tries to find her but both end up falling to the ground and end up getting back up.

However, the airline employee then punches the customer from behind as bystanders can be seen trying to break up the fight and calm the airline employee down.

The incident in Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas, was filmed by onlooker Thomas Shannon who said, "I'm at the Panda Express, and you hear screaming, and I drop my food. And my instincts is to pull out the camera and start recording."

Spirit Airline was notified of the footage and has since suspended the employee.
