The latest look at the highly anticipated second season of Star Wars: The Bad Batch on Disney+ details the final mission for the elite group of clones.

In a brief trailer ahead of the second season premiere on January 4, more adventures are shown. In one of these adventures, the crew runs along a beach and evades different creatures, while other scenes show the Empire as it continues to grow stronger, becoming a major threat to the entire galaxy.

"Star Wars: The Bad Batch follows the elite and experimental Bad Batch clones (first introduced in The Clone Wars) as they find their way through a rapidly changing galaxy in aftermath of the Clone Wars," reads the synopsis for the first season. "The members of Bad Batch - a unique team of clones who differ genetically from their brethren in the Clone Army - each possess a singular exceptional skill. which makes them extraordinarily effective soldiers and a formidable crew."

The series features the voices of Dee Bradley Baker, Michelle Ang, Rhea Perlman and Noshir Dalal, with Emmy winner Wanda Sykes making her guest-starring debut in season two as Phee Genoa .

Star Wars: The Bad Batch is the work of executive producer Dave Filoni, who has been an integral part of the Star Wars universe over the past decade due to his work on several Star Wars animated series, such as The Clone Wars, Rebels and Stars Wars Resistance, as well as the live-action series The Mandalorian.

The series is executive produced by Athena Portillo, Brad Rau, Jennifer Corbett and Carrie Beck, with Josh Rimes serving as producer. Rau is also supervising director with Corbett as head writer.
