Steve Chung to head CJ ENM's operations outside of Korea (EXCLUSIVE)

Steve Chung, who joined CJ ENM in September last year, will expand his role to oversee all Korean Group's activities outside of Korea. The Korean giant is at the forefront of Korea's cultural wave and is behind hit films such as 'Parasite' and current Oscar nominee 'Decision to Leave', as well as Studio Dragon, central television production.

As Global Director of CJ ENM and Co-CEO of CJ America, Chung's tenure will cover the Americas, Asia-Pacific and EMEA, effective immediately. Genre-wise, the role spans all of CJ ENM's film, television, music, and event activities. But that excludes multinational movie theater chains CJ-CGV, which has its own stock listing and is operated as a separate division of the CJ Group Foods to Logistics conglomerate.

Chung will report to CJ ENM CEO Koo Chang-gun and will remain based in Los Angeles. Chung joined the group as Chief Growth Officer of CJ ENM, after holding a similar role at Fox Corp.

CJ ENM explained that he wants to expand and accelerate the growth of his international operations. Over the past year, it launched a second production hub, CJ ENM Studios, acquired majority control of Endeavor Content's scripted business, since rebranded as Fifth Season, and entered into other partnership deals. strategic.
