Street Fighter footwear and apparel collection announced by Reebok

Reebok is set to once again partner with an iconic gaming franchise, this time with Capcom and the Street Fighter brand, as the two companies collaborate to release a collection that pays homage to the fighting game series iconic.

The upcoming Reebok x Street Fighter collection features some of Reebok's iconic shoe designs that will be reworked to match select in-game details.

The Classic Slide, Nano X2, Club C 85, Classic Leather, LX2200, Furylite 95, Instapump Fury 95, Zig Kinetica 2.5 and Shaq Attaq are the nine silhouettes chosen for the redesign, with some shoes paying homage to characters like Ryu and Chun Li, and others referencing the game's practice modes.

Shoes range in price from $45 to $200, and the majority of the collection - which also includes apparel - will be available from December 15, 2022 on Reebok's website.

Two shoes, the Classic Leather and the Workout Plus, will only be available at Foot Locker-branded stores. As is the case with most sneaker releases these days, this collection probably won't last too long on the shelves, so be sure to grab them quick if you want them.

Full descriptions of Street Fighter shoes can be found below:

Classic Slide (HR0591 and HP2208, $45) – Every fighter needs a slide when transitioning to and from the arena. These two colorways of Reebok's Classic Slide feature an array of graphics from the Street Fighter franchise to prepare the wearer for battle. Nano X2 (GZ9540, $150) - This iteration of Reebok's award-winning training shoe picks up details from Street Fighter's training mode. Details on the shoe, including those on the tongue and heel, pay homage to the training screen, with the grid pattern highlighted on the midsole and upper. Club C 85 (GZ9543, $100) – Ryu, one of Street Fighter's most popular characters, takes on this Club C. The upper features a distressed canvas with raw edges, similar to Ryu's post-fight gi. Ryu's glove logo makes an appearance on the heel in addition to red detailing nodding to Ryu's headband. Classic Leather (GZ9544, $100) – Chun Li and her signature outfit inspire this classic leather. Custom woven underlays pay homage to Chun Li's dragon belt while her legendary spiked straps are reimagined on the heel. The shoe is finished with distressed gold and blue detailing, nodding to her outgoing battle outfit. LX2200 (H06329, $110) - Cammy and her fierce aesthetic influence this military green and black LX2200. Cammy's beret logo sits on the heel of the shoe and her utility belt comes to life with a nylon strap on the planter. Furylite 95 (GZ9542, $100) – This Furylite brings Akuma to life by bringing his distressed dark-colored gi to the top of the shoe and translating his signature wild look into a furry fleece heel. A rope lace and heel graphic taken from Akuma's battle-tested outfit completes the tribute. Instapump Fury 95 (GZ9541, $200) – Details honoring Zangief are hidden throughout this Instapump Fury, from the custom molded tongue mimicking Zangief's belt to the printed straps showing off his bracelet. Zig Kinetica 2.5 (GZ9539, $130) – Beloved fighter Dhalsim inspires this sneaker with a colorway nominating his unique look and a rope lace representing his belt. The dubrae lace skull is inspired by her necklace and Dhalsim's signature metal bracelets are presented as metal eyelets. Shaq Attaq (HR0603, $200) – Last but not least, in true champion fashion, this version of the Shaq Attaq represents the Champion Edition of Street Fighter II. The sneaker features the Champion Edition logo and a distressed upper indicating how hard you have to fight to become a champion.
