Struggled workers have suffered the worst wage growth in nearly half a century this year, union leaders have revealed.

And as industrial action grows across the country, No10 has been accused of deliberately sabotaging pay deals to fight back with those trying to improve low wages.

Yesterday trains were empty in depots on the first day of a 48-hour strike by railway workers and undelivered mail piled up in sorting centers ahead of staff walkouts today.
