Sunday with Laura Whitmore: "I love watching TV in the bath"

Work or pleasure? I know a lot of people think Sunday is your day off, but it's one of my busiest days. Being in town early on a Sunday morning makes me feel like I'm one step ahead of the world.

Sundays getting bigger? I grew up in Ireland with my mother. We always went to mass on Sundays, which was more communal than religious. My Sundays are still religious, but in a more spiritual and personal way.

Sunday food? I feel like I've done a full day's work at 2 p.m., so I deserve a Sunday roast. I love all the sides: roast potatoes, mashed potatoes, cheese potatoes. I haven't eaten red meat since I was 15. Growing up I didn't have many choices, but now I'm glad there are so many vegetarian options. If I don't roast, I'm a big fan of non-fish and chips.

Sunday cleaning? Housework? A Sunday is not good. The dishes could be done, pretty much, but that's about it. Sunday should be a day of reflection, looking back at the week and thinking, "OK, what do I have to do next week?"

Sunday TV? Normally in the evening I have eaten so much that I am in a food coma, so a movie is perfect. I'm lucky to have a mini TV in my bathroom, so a movie while I'm soaking in the bath is even better. Don't judge me, but I will happily watch a Christmas movie in June. Nothing makes you feel better than a Christmas movie. Elf is one of the funniest movies around.

Last thing before bed? I walk the dog, check my diary and set my alarm clock. I also try to read, reduce blue light scrolling, but I can usually only hold a few pages. I'm lucky: as soon as I'm in bed, I seem to fall asleep very quickly.
