India: A terrifying moment a man attacks a trader with a sword

A shopkeeper narrowly avoided being slashed to death when a man suddenly burst into his shop and threw a sword at him in a terrifying attack.

Footage shows the would-be victim tending to his customers when the door next to him opened and a mysterious man armed with the Great Blade began swinging.

As the people inside the store fled in terror, the brave shopkeeper grabbed the swordsman's hands and managed to push him away before forcing him to leave.

The culprit then burst into the store in Madhya Pradesh, India, sword in hand and smashed a number of items, before one of the terrified staff jumped out. -above the counter to get to safety.

Further items were later destroyed in the shocking August 30 incident, although no one was injured.

Food is strewn on the floor while steaming boiling pots are also knocked over.

Several similar sword attacks have been reported in the area recently.

In May, a curfew was imposed in Khargone when violence overwhelmed celebrations of the Hindu festival Ram Navani.
