The 2022 Emmys Winners List: Who's Winning Big Tonight?

Tonight, the 74th Primetime Emmy Awards and the television industry hold their collective breath. Best actor awards will be given, along with best drama, best comedy, and best limited series. “Succession” leads the pack with 25 total nominations, with 12 in the major categories being handed out tonight. While Clan Roy leads in the drama categories, "Ted Lasso" and "The White Lotus" are the favorites, based on total nominations, for Best Comedy and Best Limited Series.

The Creative Arts Ceremonies ended on September 4. And again, HBO was king. The network took home 25 awards from the event, including five for "Euphoria," five for "The White Lotus," and three for "Barry." Netflix came in second with 23 Emmys in total (including five jury awards), including five for "Stranger Things" and four for "Squid Game." Other streamers and networks were a little behind: Disney+ won nine awards including best TV movie for “Chip 'n Dale: Rescue Rangers”; Hulu won eight awards, including three for "Only Murders in the Building"; Apple TV+ won five, including two for "Severance".

Some of the most notable Creative Arts Emmys wins have come for the late Chadwick Boseman, performing his role as "Black Panther" as T'Challa in the Disney+ Marvel series "What If...?" and Barack Obama, who won best storyteller for "Our Great National Parks" on Netflix. "Arcane" won the award for Best Animated Series.

In addition, IndieWire hosted a "Consider This" panel with the craft team behind "Lucy and Desi," including composer David Schwartz, who has now won the Emmy for Outstanding Music Composition for a documentary series or a special (underlined original drama). “Lucy and Desi” also won Outstanding Writing for a Non-Fiction Program.
