Lonely Planet travel experts have unveiled a list of the best places to visit in 2023, with Manchester, Southern Scotland, Sydney and New Mexico all included.
The list includes 30 must-see destinations in total and this year is sorted by type of experience to have there: eat, travel, connect, learn and relax.
The Eat category features the capital of Peru , Lima, for 'diverse dining choices', South Africa, for its 'affordable world-class restaurants', and Umbria, Italy, for 'a rich food scene'.
