Sing for my supper in Venice? It suits me well ! LIZZIE ENFIELD finds her voice on a perfect mini-break Lizzie Enfield took a four-day singing break in Venice, forming a 40-person choir with fellow holidaymakers The choirmaster was maestro Rory McCleery, 'who gives TV choirmaster Gareth Malone a run for his money' Last night, Lizzie and her band performed in front of worshipers and tourists in the Church of San TrovasoThe trip - dubbed the 'Glory of Venice' - was organized by specialist holiday company Run By Singers Advertisement

The Church of San Trovaso in Venice is exactly the genre where choral works by Italian composers from Monteverdi to Scarlatti were meant to be played.

Its cavernous interior houses four works by Tintoretto and its vaulted ceilings allow the mournful phrases of a Miserere Mei to linger and fade - the perfect setting for the concert that will be the highlight of my four day singing vacation.
