This week, like much of the world, I've been obsessed with the Titan submersible, which disappeared during a trip to the wreck of the Titanic with five people inside.
I read reports, watched briefings from the Coast Guard and devoured TikToks from people who worked on submarines and were experts in carbon dioxide scrubbing systems. Yesterday the story reached a grim conclusion: the wreckage on the ocean floor showed evidence of a "catastrophic implosion" with all on board now presumed dead.
