This anti–skinny jean trend is back with a revenge

If I opened your denim drawer right now, I bet I could guess some of the key silhouettes stored inside: straight leg jeans, skinny jeans and maybe even an outlier of the moment like the loose fit of the 90s. But what style has probably not surfaced so much lately? Flares. Designers from Alberta Ferretti to Dior have reintroduced fresh flare jeans to their Fall/Winter 2021 collections and the silhouette has been cemented as the next It denim choice in Spring/ summer 2022 from the likes of Saint Laurent and Rejina Pyo. Even celebrities like Gigi Hadid, Margot Robbie and Harry Styles have already followed suit with '70s-inspired flares.
