If you've ever looked at a kids laptop and wondered if it might need an upgrade with just one on-board computer, you're not alone. [Labz] took a few Brazilian Max Steel toy computers from a decade or more ago, and turned them into usable, albeit unconventional, laptops (Brazilian Portuguese, but YouTube subtitle translation is your friend).< /p>

The computers are similar to the ones you might know like VTech, a QWERTY keyboard and a fairly conventional form factor but with a small monochrome LCD screen and a few built-in games. In the video below, we see both the laptop and desktop variants slaughtered with a rotary tool to get new larger screens, the laptop getting a Raspberry Pi, and the desktop getting a small PC. form factor. The laptop needed a 3D printed extension to save space, while the desktop got a PCI Express extension cable for a video card. Finally, an Arduino took care of the keyboard.

The icing on the cake for this video comes at the end, when they find the now adult child from the original ad. Meanwhile, children's computers have already been presented here a few times.
