This Mac app makes it easy to create your own AI images with Stable Diffusion

Everyone wants in on the AI imaging action, but if you've been intimidated by the existing Stable Diffusion-based options, including the Midjourney Discord bot, you're in. in Luck: Broadcast Bee is a simple Mac app that gives you everything you need to generate your own images from a text prompt using the open source AI image generation framework.

The application, developed by Divam Gupta, does not require any technical expertise and is installed on M1 Macs by drag and drop. You'll need a Mac M1 or M2 running at least macOS 15.2, however - the app takes advantage of Apple Silicon's built-in artificial intelligence and runs the Stable Diffusion model locally, which has the added benefit of ensuring that nothing is sent to all servers.

You can change the settings, including the height and width of the image, as well as the number of steps the model goes through to generate your result, and the "guide scale" - the importance that the model grants your text prompts when generating its results. Note that in my testing at least, adjusting these settings higher than the defaults resulted in large increases in the time it took to produce the images.

This is an extremely easy (and free) way to start playing Stable Diffusion yourself, provided you have a Mac to use it.
