Thompson's Armani First, Zegna and Mr Porter Celebrate Holt Renfrew's "Rebirth"

A FIRST TIMER: This was Emma Thompson's first fashion show.

"I know, can you believe it? Amazing. But it's not my world" ", joked the Oscar-winning actress at the Giorgio Armani haute couture show in Paris on Tuesday. She was dressed in a bright pink suit for the occasion, and accompanied by her daughter Gaia. "I love Armani, new inventions and you can be perfection," she added rhyming.

Thompson climbed into the seats to hug Kate Hudson amid the claustrophobic frenzy of the front row. "It's so hot, what were they thinking?" she said of the tent area where the show was held.

But Hudson kept cool in a bandeau top and high ponytail. "I think he's an icon," she said of the designer. "He's brilliant, he's amazing and a legend." She took photos on her phone throughout the show.

Always the performer, Thompson went backstage after the show to thank the Parisian designers and l French dressing team, then Italian based staff in Milan.

Camille Razat was in character, but not like her alter ego "Emily in Paris". The actress likes to dream up stories for her outfits, and the midnight blue velvet suit and dark smoky eye had some intrigue.

"I imagined myself a widow and I mourn my dead husband, he just died and I am very sad,” she said of the moody colors.

"Armani is a timeless house. It has been and always will be a legend," he said. she added.

The scrum to pass the velvet rope and take pictures with Mr. Armani was dozens deep . Even the VIPs were caught up in the madness.

"We're all waiting. We're in a platoon, and you're in the platoon with us now" , said Laura Dern, drawing Noah Centineo in as the crowd surged forward in a wave.She called the collection "a masterpiece".

Sydney Sweeney was equally in love. "It was beautiful, the collection was absolutely beautiful. There was a beautiful red dress that I would really like to wear; I literally looked at my stylist and said, 'I love this.' She was accompanied by stylist Molly Dickson and wore a black dress with sequins.

After the greetings, Sweeney quickly slipped away, trying to avoid photobombing photos with Centineo . “This black velvet dress, the simple one with the roses in the back. I would wear that. I definitely should, right? he joked. “It was phenomenal. It was my first time to come to a couture show, and for it to be Giorgio's, I'm very lucky."
