While Tory leadership candidates spit venom at each other, the rest of Britain is awash in a cost of living crisis.

Struggling families face a miserable winter of runaway inflation, rising food and energy bills, and declining incomes.

As we're revealing today, parents are turning down free food bank laundry because they can't afford to turn on the machine.
