Ministers would be sent on a ‘foolishness awareness course’ as part of a new bill to be introduced in parliament.

The bill, introduced by the Liberal Democrats, would require ministers to undergo annual ethics and standards training in a bid to stem the tide of scandals surrounding the government.

Rishi Sunak is under increasing pressure to launch an investigation into Home Secretary Suella Braverman over her row of speeding tickets.

“Rishi Sunak promised integrity, accountability and professionalism, but it seems like he can hardly go a week without another of his ministers landing in crisis,” said Liberal MP Wendy Chamberlain.< /p>

Ms Braverman has been accused of breaching departmental code by asking officials, who were supposed to be independent, to help her run a private one-on-one speed awareness course.

The row follows a series of resignations since Mr. Sunak took office for breaching the code.
