A woman with the longest fingernails in the world has shared the tragic reason why she swore she would never cut them again. Diana Armstrong broke the Guinness World Record for the longest nails on a pair of hands (female), with a combined nail length of 1,306.58 cm (42 ft 10.4 in).

She struggles with daily chores because she has fingernails that are about the same length as a school bus, and they took her 25 years to grow, during which time she didn't go only once in a living room. She hasn't cut her nails since 1997 and says she never will after suffering a tragic loss.
