The funeral of eight-year-old twins and their older sister took place after they were killed in a tragic incident at their home in Ireland over the weekend.

Lisa Cash, 18, and her eight-year-old twin brother and sister Christy and Chelsea Cawley died at the Rossfield Avenue home in Tallaght, County Dublin, in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Their older brother Andy Cash, 24, was charged with their murders and appeared in court on Monday.

A funeral mass was held at St Aidan's Church in Brookfield, Tallaght, where the three siblings were taken by horse-drawn carriage to be buried in Bohernabreena Cemetery.

Hundreds of people attended the requiem mass on Friday morning.

This followed the removal of the siblings from the funeral home on Thursday as their bodies were transported to the church in white caskets.

Well-wishers lined the sidewalks between the funeral home and the church as the three horse-drawn carriages made the solemn journey.

A man playing the bagpipes led the procession, as family, friends and the community gathered.
