Tuchel at 'Club B+' is 'most likely' after Chelsea; three PL bosses said to "look over their shoulders"

Aston Villa, Newcastle and West Ham could 'tick boxes' for Thomas Tuchel as he seeks his first job after leaving Chelsea, according to Stan Collymore.

Tuchel finds himself out of work after Chelsea sacked him. His departure came after the club's 1-0 loss to Dinamo Zagreb.

This was yet another blow after Chelsea had already suffered league defeats against Leeds United and Southampton.

One per club: Premier League's best youngsters sent out on loan during summer window

The club hierarchy moved quickly to replace Tuchel and Graham Potter was confirmed as his successor following his stellar spell at Brighton.

Tuchel's move to Chelsea will be widely viewed with emotion after helping the club win the Champions League last year.

Fabrizio Romano hinted that Tuchel 'wants to come back as soon as possible':

"Honestly, at the moment neither Thomas Tuchel nor his agents have any idea what's next," Romano wrote for Caught Offside.

"It will take time to understand the next project, but for sure Tuchel wants to come back as soon as possible and work hard in football again because he didn't expect to be fired by Chelsea.

"Some have suggested that Tuchel would be better suited to a club with fewer superstars, but I'm not sure I agree.

"He guided PSG and Chelsea to the Champions League final in successive seasons and won big trophies with both clubs.

"I certainly think the big European clubs would think he would be a good choice for them, but let's see what opportunities there will be."

He won't run out of options when looking to regain leadership. But Collymore has chosen Aston Villa, Newcastle and West Ham as possible destinations.

Eddie Howe is doing a great job at Newcastle and they have only lost once in the league so far this season. However, Aston Villa and West Ham currently find themselves around the relegation places.

Former Premier League player Collymore suggested that Villa, Newcastle and West Ham 'could all offer a long-term project' to Tuchel:

"I don't see him automatically landing one of Europe's big jobs anytime soon," Collymore said.

"Maybe in Italy a Juventus or one of the Milan clubs could look to make a switch during the World Cup and they will be interested.

"But he can't hang around for too long for fear of becoming yesterday's man and I wonder if his most likely destination will be one of our B+ clubs, like Newcastle, West Ham or Aston Villa.

"Eddie Howe, David Moyes and Steven Gerrard could well be the ones looking over their shoulders and their clubs could afford to pay Tuchel between £8m and £10m a year.

"The fact that they could all offer him a long-term project might tick some boxes for him because the pressure wouldn't be what it was at Chelsea.

"Time will tell, but don't be surprised if we see him again soon."
