Twitter brings back suspended NFTs accounts as Solana threatens to pause ad spend New

Early Wednesday, Twitter suspended access to nine accounts associated with the promotion of non-fungible tokens, or NFTs, on the Solana (SOL) ecosystem. The move comes just ahead of the highly anticipated y00ts NFT collection, a sequel to DeGods, the most popular NFT collection on Solana, launching this Friday. Shortly after the suspension, Austin Federa, communications manager at the Solana Foundation, said:

"Hey Twitter, bring @y00tlist back; I've suspended all Foundation ad spending until they're back. Twitter must reinstate them or show cause for suspension."

These accounts have been reinstated and can be accessed as of 12:00 PM EST. No official explanation has been given as to why the accounts were suspended in the first place, or why they were reinstated soon after. One user, DeGods founder @frankdegods, launched a campaign to restore previously suspended accounts, which garnered over 20,700 likes for a single post. Federa also commented:

"You have to draw a line in the sand somewhere - many large web 2.0 companies want to have it both ways - to attract web 3.0 creators, while maintaining control that is not responsible to the community ."

DeGods consists of 10,000 "virtual gods" collectibles with creative outfits. Currently, the floor price of the collection is 519 SOL. The project is known for its infamous “bitch tax,” which is a 33.3% tariff applied to all NFT collectibles sold below the advertised floor price. The collection recently surpassed SOL 1 million in transaction volume. Its founders claim that there is a DeGod collectibles owner in every country except North Korea.
