Twitter users around the world have reported problems accessing the social media platform.

According to Downdetector, the problems on the social media platform started after 1 p.m. for thousands of people.

Downdetector, which tracks outages by collating status reports from multiple sources, showed that nearly 30,000 outages have been reported worldwide.

Most reported issues were with the app, with these complaints accounting for 57% of reports.

Website-related issues accounted for 37% of reports, while 6% of complaints were about user flows.

A Down Detector user said it looked like his login servers were down because he was "immediately logged out" of the page.

"Has Musk killed Twitter?" another asked.

Twitter sued Elon Musk on Tuesday for breaching the £36.5 billion deal to buy the social media platform.
