Tyson Fury sets final deadline for Anthony Joshua to sign contract before dropping out of fight

Tyson Fury has doubled down on Frank Warren's claims that if Anthony Joshua doesn't sign final contracts for their December date by Monday, he will "move on" to another fight.

Speaking to from the ring ahead of Joe Joyce vs. Joseph Parker, the Gypsy King said, "I was optimistic about three weeks ago, but it shouldn't take that long to sign a contract. We let's find out by Monday anyway because if it's not done by Monday I'll move on.

"I'm not expecting a guy who's lost three of his last five fights. He's lucky I'm giving him a world title shot, but I don't mind throwing a bone at him, but I don't want them to start dictating bullshit to me.

"He's invited to my party, my rules. So if you want to play along? Come to the banquet and take a seat."

Fury's comments come after Warren set Joshua a deadline of the end of this week to sign final contracts for the proposed all-British showdown on December 3 at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales. Warren sent AJ's camp the fight agreement last Friday, but has yet to receive the signed paperwork.

With just ten weeks to go, Fury's team is keen to get the ball rolling in order to move forward with the next stages of the deal. There is still the arduous television situation to rectify, which both sides have identified as a potential stumbling block as they seek to appease Matchroom and Queensbury's broadcast partners (DAZN and BT Sport).

Fury and his brother disagree on Usyk as alternate battle plan emerges

Fury's brother Shane recently revealed that The Gypsy King will face an "exhausted opponent" on the same date if the AJ fight fails. The expected replacement is Mahmoud Charr, who has been trading verbal jabs with Fury since the Mancunian announced he was returning to the ring after his brief retirement in April.

Charr (33-4) fits the description of a "runaway opponent" having lost every time he made it to world level against Vitali Klitschko, Alexander Povetkin, Johann Duhaupas and Mairis Briedis.< /p>
