"Fashion is communication with the world - it shows that we are strong and can carry on," says Ukrainian designer Iryna Kokhana, who had to move in London when war broke out.
She is currently exhibiting her designs at Paris Fashion Week, seeing it as an opportunity to showcase not only her brand, but also the resilience of his country.
"All of us are fighting," she told the BBC. "It is to show the indomitable of our people, our talents and our capacity to create even during the war, when everything collapses."
Kokhana is founder and CEO of label Chereshnivska, based in Lviv, near the Polish border.
