Unfunny trailer for Weed Comedy 'Fourth Grade' starring William Baldwin

Fourth Grade Trailer

"Your daughter still has red eyes!" "Doesn't Your Kid Have Memory Problems?" Gravitas has released an official trailer for a wild weed comedy titled Fourth Grade, from a Brazilian director named Marcelo Galvão. It was made in the United States and after a festival premiere in 2021, it has not been released until now. When a brick of weed is discovered in a fifth grade classroom, the parents gather in an emergency meeting full of accusations and intrigue. A tumultuous chaos will quickly follow after some of them agree to share a joint. In the process, fragile and dark secrets are revealed and perspectives begin to change… The weed problem is exposed as hypocrisy, and sincere truths and camaraderie flourish. Of course. The film stars William Baldwin, Teri Polo, Mena Suvari, Boti Bliss, Ben Begley, Challen Cates and Roland Kickinger. It looks so bad, surprise surprise people, but at least they're starting to smoke and get loose. I'd just rather recommend the much better stoner comedy High School (starring Adrien Brody!) over this one.

Here is the official trailer (+ poster) for Fourth Grade by Marcelo Galvão, straight from YouTube:

Fourth Grade Poster

At a prestigious private Catholic elementary school, a course director and a drama teacher bring together the parents of fourth-grade students to discuss an alarming situation: a brick of marijuana found in the classroom of theater. To protect the school's reputation, they must expel the student responsible. Ten wealthy parents and Eddie, an outsider, whose daughter has just won a scholarship arrive at the meeting. After an aggressive discussion, the director and the theater teacher leave. Eddie promises to find a solution in less than an hour and save the day. Accusations, intrigues and insults ensue as the parents try to protect their own children. In an effort to calm the hostility and think more calmly, one of the parents suggests that they try some of the weed themselves… Fourth grade is both written and directed by Brazilian filmmaker Marcelo Galvão, director of the films Quarta B, Bellini and the Devil, La Riña, Buddies, Farewell and The Killer before. This originally premiered at the 2021 Gramado Film Festival a few years ago. Gravitas will debut Galvão's Fourth Grade in select US theaters + on VOD starting July 14, 2023 this summer. Do you look good?
