Vauxhall GSe is a new electric sub-brand for sports electric vehicles

Automaker Vauxhall has announced the launch of a new electric sub-brand called GSe, the brand will offer performance electric vehicles that are also sporty to drive and sporty in design.

The new name GSe stands for Grand Sport Electric, so we can expect all models in the range to be electric vehicles.

James Taylor, Acting Managing Director of Vauxhall, said: "GSe will offer sporty handling and looks combined with the performance and responsiveness of electrified powertrains. Sitting at the top of Vauxhall's newly simplified, the GSe name is both a nod to the GSi performance models of our heritage and a complement to the GS versions of our current range.Vauxhall is committed to electrifying Britain and GSe shows that performance and driving pleasure will be part of our electric future.”

The Vauxhall range of electric vehicles includes the Corsa Electric, Mokka Electric, Combo Life Electric and Vivaro Life Electric and will soon be joined by the Astra Electric and Astra Sports Tourer Electric. The Astra, Astra Sports Tourer and Grandland are available as plug-in hybrids.
